2018 BITD Winter Nationals

An exhilarating race day for the Xtreme Machine & Fabrication racers at Best in the Desert GMZ UTV Winter Nationals Parker 250
Jessie Owens #97 was doing awesome up front with leaders for a little bit until her motor unfortunately blew up due to a faulty fuel pump. Jennifer Owens #25 did awesome for her first BITD (Best in the Desert) race and finished 20th place out of packed field of 30 racers. Ryder Vanbeekum #64 did great during the race and held his own to finish in the top 10 with a 8th place.
Carson Greco racing in #55 did great for his first ever race at only 6 years old. He started off the race with a small mechanical issue which put him a lap down but Carson got back out there and finished the race. Gavin Wardle #142 was making some moves through the race, but unfortunately ended up in an incident on the track which left him with a broken swing arm.
Jake Bollman #471 was on the gas and didn’t look back! Jake finished the race with a win in 1st place. WooHoo!
Robert Vanbeekum #1964 had lots of mechanical issues through the day but pulled through to finish the race. On lap 3 mm16 we had a rear heim joint shear off. After over 45 minutes of repairs, Robert was back in the game. 2 laps with no power steering proved to be a rough race, But Robert Vanbeekum finished 12th place physically across the line. 106 UTVs started the race with only 46 crossing the finish line.
